Sceloporus undulatus
Talk about being in the right place at the right time. I saw something move from the corner of my eye. It was the female shown in the featured photo. She ran under a tree and I took quite a few really bad photos of her under there. Then low and behold, she came out and onto a rock, in the sun. True it was only 54 ° out there, so basking in the sun wouldn’t be unusual. But I was still feeling pretty lucky about it.

Then as I was walking away, I saw another something from the corner of my eye. It was this guy.
Though he couldn’t possibly see her. He had to have followed her pheromone trail.
What follows is the courtship that ensued.
