In addition to the brilliant red throat (shows dark when not in the sun), white bib and white eye ring, this beautiful little guy has an Irish green back color. His tail is broad, square and has white corners.

Female broad-winged. I like this photo because it shows off her brown shoulders. I’m wondering about the white dot on her crown. Is that common?This isn’t the sharpest picture, but I included it because I think her tail is quite remarkable and her armpits are a lovely shade of rust. Ahhhh, sometimes I crack myself up.
